Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how EcoRadio (a product of Cyber Bottega S.r.l.) uses cookies and similar technologies — including browser cookies, local storage, session storage, authentication tokens, device identifiers and deletion tokens — to run the Service.

#Strictly Necessary Technologies

Strictly necessary technologies are used for authentication, Anonymous Sessions, session continuity, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, preferences, saving local deletion tokens and maintaining your consent choices. Under the ePrivacy Directive these technologies do not require consent, but you can generally control them through your browser settings. Blocking them may prevent EcoRadio from working correctly.

#Authentication and Session Technologies

We use technologies to authenticate Registered Accounts, to identify Anonymous Sessions, to manage session expiry and to protect against abuse. If a “remember me” function is offered, it uses a persistent local token you can clear at any time.

#Preference Storage

Storage is used to remember choices such as language, display preferences, notification preferences, location preferences and other user choices you make inside the app.

#Secret Deletion Tokens

When you publish a Whisper anonymously, a secret deletion token may be stored locally on your device so you can delete that Whisper later. Clearing your browser or app storage may remove access to these tokens; we may not be able to recover them for you.

#Optional Analytics (Amplitude)

EcoRadio uses Amplitude for optional product analytics, to understand how the app is used, measure engagement, see which features are used, spot technical and performance problems, and improve the Service.

Where analytics are enabled, Amplitude may process:

  • screens and features used, and in-app events (for example playing, liking or publishing a Whisper);
  • session information and timestamps;
  • device, browser and operating-system information;
  • approximate geographic information derived by the provider;
  • analytics identifiers (a device identifier and, for signed-in users, the internal account identifier);
  • basic diagnostic and performance information.

The Amplitude SDK is not loaded and no analytics data is sent until you actively choose “Accept analytics”. If you reject analytics, or make no choice, Amplitude stays off. Rejecting analytics does not limit your use of EcoRadio in any way. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & analytics; withdrawal stops future analytics collection immediately. Session Replay is not enabled. Analytics are never used for advertising or cross-site advertising tracking, and we do not sell personal data.

#Third-Party Providers

  • Supabase — authentication, database and storage (strictly necessary).
  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, security and performance (strictly necessary).
  • Amplitude — product analytics and usage measurement (optional, consent-based).

We do not use advertising providers.

#Strictly Necessary vs Optional

Strictly necessary: authentication, security, session management, Anonymous-Session functionality, preferences needed for functionality you requested, deletion-token storage, and storing your consent choice.

Optional (consent required): Amplitude product analytics.

#Retention

  • Session-only — cleared when you close your browser/app.
  • Persistent login — kept until you sign out or the token expires.
  • Preferences — kept until you change them or clear storage.
  • Deletion tokens — kept locally until you use or delete them.
  • Security records — retained only as long as necessary.
  • Consent choice — stored locally on your device until you change it or clear storage.
  • Amplitude analytics — retained according to the retention period configured in our Amplitude account.

#Managing Cookies and Storage

  • Change your consent choices from the cookie controls in Settings.
  • Clear browser cookies and local storage from your browser or app.
  • Revoke microphone, location or notification permissions from your device settings.
  • Use private browsing to limit persistent storage.
  • Block optional technologies via your browser controls.

#Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy. Material changes will be announced in-app and reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
